ProteinNudge: privacy policy

Who we are: Jarius Buie, an individual ("we", "us"). Contact us by email at support@appkitdemos.com.

The short version

ProteinNudge does not collect, receive, sell or share your personal data. There is no account and no sign-in. The app does not use analytics, advertising or tracking. What you enter is stored only on your device, in your browser's local storage for this app, and stays there until you delete it.

What the app stores, and where

The app stores the following on your device only: goals (calories, protein, water), optional weekly injection day, meals and plates you log, water intake, favourites, side-effect notes and severity, reminder settings and theme.

This data is stored under ProteinNudge's keys (nutrientflow:v1:*) in your browser's or app's local storage. We cannot see it, access it, back it up or recover it.

Notifications (optional): if you allow notifications, reminders are created on your device. No push server is used and nothing is sent to us.
Print / PDF: the weekly report is generated on your device through your browser's print function. If you share it with a clinician, you decide how.
Health-related information: some things you log (such as an injection day or side-effect notes) can be sensitive health information. It stays on your device; we do not collect, receive, sell or share it.

What we do not do

We do not run servers that receive your app data.
We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising IDs, fingerprinting or third-party SDKs.
We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
The app's Content Security Policy blocks connections to third-party servers.

Website hosting and app stores

Hosting: the app's files are delivered by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and request time in server logs to deliver and secure the site. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
App stores: if you install ProteinNudge from an app store (such as Google Play, Microsoft Store, Samsung Galaxy Store or Apple App Store), the store may collect data about your purchase and download under its own privacy policy. We receive only the aggregated or limited information those stores provide to developers, such as install counts and purchase records.
Payments: if you buy from us directly, the payment is processed by our payment processor (e.g., Gumroad or the app store), which acts under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details needed to fulfil and support your purchase (your name, email, country and order ID).
Support emails: if you email us, we use your email and message only to reply, and keep them for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your choices and control

Delete your data: clear this site's data in your browser settings, or uninstall the app. This permanently deletes your data from the device.
Backups: use the app's JSON backup/export to save a copy of your data to a file you control, and restore it from that file later. Backup files are created and read on your device only; we never receive them. Without a backup, clearing browser or app data removes your data.
Because we hold no app data about you, we cannot fulfil access or deletion requests for data on your device. You control it directly. For data we do hold (purchase records, support emails), contact support@appkitdemos.com.

Children

ProteinNudge is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). The app records health-related information and is intended for adults.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights over personal data we hold, such as purchase or support records. Contact support@appkitdemos.com. If the GDPR applies: the controller is Jarius Buie (support@appkitdemos.com). App data is stored only on your device and is not processed by us. We process purchase records to perform our contract with you and to meet legal (e.g. tax) obligations, and support emails to perform our contract or, where there is no contract, for our legitimate interest in answering your questions. You may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Anything health-related you enter stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app or on this page.

ProteinNudge: terms of use

If you got the app from an app store, that store's terms (e.g. Apple's standard EULA or Google Play's terms of service) also apply to your purchase.

Effective date: October 17, 2026 These terms are an agreement between you and Jarius Buie ("we", "us") for your use of ProteinNudge ("the app").

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal or your own internal business purposes, in line with these terms and the terms of the store or website you got it from. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the app, or remove our notices, unless you have bought a separate source-code, white-label or commercial licence.

2. Your data stays on your device

The app stores what you enter only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your data. We cannot access, back up or recover it. Clearing your browser or app data, uninstalling, changing device or browser, or device failure can permanently delete it.

3. Important limitations

Not medical advice. Not a medical device. ProteinNudge is a food and habit log. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition and does not give medical, dietary or dosing advice. Meal suggestions, nudges and "gentle tips" are general information only.
Follow your clinician. Always follow the guidance of your prescriber or healthcare professional about your medication, diet and any symptoms. If a symptom is severe, persistent or worrying, contact your clinician or local emergency services. Do not rely on the app.
Calorie and protein figures are estimates and may not match your food.
ProteinNudge is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any medication manufacturer.
Don't use ProteinNudge if you are under 18.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, infringe others' rights, or harass or mislead anyone (for example in messages or documents you create with it).

5. Purchases and refunds

Store purchases: refunds follow the store's refund policy.
Direct purchases: if the product doesn't work as described, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Statutory consumer rights in your country are not affected.

6. Updates and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the app. Updates are delivered through the app's service worker or the store. We don't guarantee the app will be available, error-free or compatible with every device or browser.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim (or US $50 if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in California, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
